Privacy policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use the Waseet website and Service. We comply with Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.

1. Our role and the brokerage's role

For the brokerage's client data (insured persons, their policies and claims), the brokerage is the data controller and we are a processor acting only on its instructions.

For user account data, website visitors and contact-form submissions, we are the data controller.

2. Data we collect

Account data: name, email, password (hashed), company name and user role.

Business data the brokerage enters: clients, policies, installments, commissions, claims and uploaded documents.

Technical data: sign-in logs, IP address and browser type, and only strictly necessary cookies (session and language preference). We use no advertising trackers.

Contact-form messages: name, company, email, mobile number and message text.

3. How we use data

To provide, operate and secure the Service, send service messages (invitations, reminders, account notices), answer support and contact requests, and for billing.

We do not sell personal data, and we never use the brokerage's client data for our own marketing.

4. Hosting and sub-processors

Data is hosted on servers of cloud providers (databases, file storage and email delivery), which may be inside or outside Egypt. We choose providers with appropriate security guarantees and bind them contractually to confidentiality.

When data is transferred outside Egypt we apply the safeguards the law requires.

5. Data security

We apply full isolation between brokerage workspaces, encryption in transit (HTTPS), one-way hashed passwords (bcrypt), session and invitation tokens stored only as fingerprints, role-based permissions and an audit log.

No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will notify you and the competent authorities as the law requires.

6. Data retention

We keep the brokerage's data for the duration of the subscription and for 30 days after it ends to allow export, then delete it. It is removed from daily backups when their retention cycle expires.

We keep contact-form messages as long as needed to respond and follow up on the business relationship; you can ask us to delete them at any time.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access and correct your personal data, and to request its deletion, restrict its processing or object to it, within the limits set by law.

If you are a client of a brokerage that uses Waseet, please contact the brokerage directly as the controller of your data; we will help it respond.

8. Cookies

We only use strictly necessary cookies for sign-in (the session) and remembering your language. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies.

9. Children

The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy and will announce any material change in the Service or by email, updating the “Last updated” date at the top of the page.
